Node Types Overview
Every node type in Routling, what it does, and when to reach for it.
Every node is either a source, a destination, or a processor. This page is the map; each type has its own page with the detail.

Choosing a source#
"I want my microphone." Plugged into your audio interface → ASIO Channels. A USB mic that is not your ASIO device → add it as a secondary device.
"I want audio from one program." → App Capture and System Audio. Pick the app by name.
"I want everything my PC plays." → System Audio. It excludes Routling's own output, so you will not get a feedback loop.
**"I want another app to send audio into Routling deliberately."** → Routling I/O. Routling appears in that app's device list.
"I want my DAW connected both ways with lots of channels." → Virtual ASIO. 16 channels each direction.
Node identity#
Every node can be renamed - double-click its name. Renaming is cosmetic; it does not change routing. There is a reset to return to the default name.
Nodes carry a coloured accent rail by type, so a large graph stays readable at a glance.
