Streams are found automatically on the local network, wired or Wi-Fi. A Network In remembers its stream and PC and reconnects by itself after a restart on either side, or when the Network Out is deleted and added again with the same name - so give each Network Out on a PC its own name.
| Card shows | Means |
|---|---|
Network / <PC> | Receiving from that PC |
no audio | The PC is there but its Network Out has nothing wired in |
waiting | The PC cannot be reached; it connects when it can |
Delay is about 10-20 ms on a wired network and 30-60 ms on Wi-Fi. Each stream is stereo and about 3 Mbit/s.
Preferences → Network sets the latency mode, this PC's name, PCs to reach over a VPN or another subnet (Remote PCs), ports and the adapter.
If no streams appear, check the network is set to Private in Windows - Windows Firewall blocks them on a Public network.
